Since 2006, Sat Naam has brought yoga, meditation, and the arts to thousands of students from diverse cultures, communities, and socio-economic backgrounds.
YOGA IN SCHOOLS PROGRAM
The Yoga In Schools Program empowers children and teaches them life-enhancing skills through the practice of yoga. It is a comprehensive, affordable yoga curriculum that is adaptive to the individual student and school environment.
Teachers and administrators of classes with our Yoga In Schools Program report that after yoga their students are more able to focus, and they absorb new information and learn new skills at a faster rate. It is noteworthy how often students, teachers, and parents have shared with us that these exercises have helped students develop coping mechanisms in and out of the school setting.
Currently, Sat Naam’s Yoga In Schools Program serves schools in the following communities: Eagle Rock, Glassel Park, North Hollywood, Burbank, Studio City, South LA, Compton, Altadena, and Pasadena. Sat Naam continues to grow and offer greater access to more communities across the greater Los Angeles area
